Liquidity Signal

Privacy Policy

Draft pending legal review — not yet approved by counsel for any jurisdiction.

  1. Data we collect

We collect two distinct categories of personal data. First, account and billing data from the institutions we serve: the name, work email, organization and payment details of the individuals who set up and manage a Liquidity Signal account. Second, business-research data drawn from public and licensed commercial sources — filings, registries, licensed media archives and comparable records — about individuals connected to a liquidity event, such as founders, executives, board members or other principals named in a confirmed dossier. We do not collect data about a client's own end-customers, and we do not collect more than the specific fact set a dossier requires.

  2. How we use it

Account data is used to provision access, deliver dossiers through the client portal or API, process payment through our payment processor, and communicate about the service. Business-research data is used exclusively to build, verify and score the dossiers and watchlists a client's contract entitles them to receive. We do not sell personal data to data brokers or advertisers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

  3. Legal basis and jurisdiction

Where the GDPR or a comparable law applies, we process account data on the basis of contract performance and process business-research data on the basis of legitimate interest — the same basis long relied on by financial-data and media-research providers — subject in every case to the source, purpose and jurisdiction-specific rules described on our Security & Compliance page. Where local law requires a different basis or imposes additional restrictions, that local law governs our processing in that jurisdiction.

  4. Data retention

Account data is retained for the duration of the contractual relationship and for the period required afterward to meet accounting, tax and audit obligations. Business-research data underlying a published dossier is retained for as long as the compliance and audit-trail commitments described on our Security & Compliance page require, after which it is deleted or irreversibly anonymized.

  5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal data we hold, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. This applies both to individuals who use Liquidity Signal on behalf of a client institution and to individuals named in a dossier who wish to exercise rights over their own data.

  6. Contact for privacy requests

Privacy requests, including requests from individuals named in a dossier, can be sent to privacy@liquiditysignal.com. We will confirm receipt and respond within the time limit your jurisdiction's law requires.
